Hello families of Armstrong Boys Traveling Basketball Players! I hope you are enjoying the start of basketball season. Just sending out a reminder that we will be hosting the Armstrong Classic Boys Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, February 11 and 12, 2017. There is a lot of interest in our tournament and we are about as full as we can get. I am working on scheduling gym spaces and volunteer times as we speak. DIBS position should be finalized and posted for claiming about a week or 10 days before the event, if not sooner. We will shoot you updates as we get closer with volunteer job information and hours requirements. Thank you in advance for honoring your commitment to your boys and the basketball program.
One of the best ways for us to maximize our fundraising through the tournament is by accepting donations, particularly for our concessions. The program is a Minnesota non-profit corporation and we can accept tax-deductible donations. In the past, we've used anything from donated cases of water, to paper products, to gift cards to offset purchases we need to make. We have some 7th grade parents who have stepped up to help coordinate the concessions (THANK YOU) and they are starting to reach out for donations. So, if any of you work for, patron, or know of any local business that might be interested in donating products, cash, or discounts on anything we can use for the tournament, please let me know and I will get the information to our 7th grade families.
